AbstractLasers are widely used in Ophthalmology. The unique transparent tissues of the eye’s cornea, lens and vitreous body make lasers an ideal medium for diagnosis and therapy. They are incorporated in well established commercially available ophthalmic instruments but they also play an important role in new developments and research work. This paper gives a short overview on selected laser applications in our department
