AbstractThe success of IT adoption in organizations not only depends on technical issues but also on social issues. Many researchers have called for balancing technical and social issues during IT adoption in organizations. This paper explores user perceptions of stakeholder approach during IT adoption in organizations. The paper is based on two case studies. The study results indicate that stakeholder approach may be useful during IT adoption in organizations. The results suggest that stakeholder approach have a potential to improve IT adoption success in organizations through securing stakeholder buy-in. The results also suggest that involving stakeholders during IT adoption in organizations may result in positive outcomes
