AbstractThe difficulties associated with the numerical inversion of Fourier and Laplace transforms are identified and a method, based on the modified Fourier transform, developed to overcome them. The method will deal with problems which are non-linear in the sense that the parameters are frequency dependent. Computed results compare favourably with test results on electrical power systems
