AbstractThis paper deals with the quadratic congruential method for generating uniform pseudorandom numbers. Equidistribution properties of the generated pseudorandom number sequences over parts of the period are considered based on the discrepancy of corresponding point sets. An upper bound for the average value of these discrepancies is established
