AbstractBackgroundThe cost of pharmaceuticals has increased rapidly in Korea in recent years. Expenditure is likely to grow further with the policy of expanding National Health Insurance coverage for the following four disease areas: cerebrovascular and cardiovascular disease, rare diseases, and cancer.
