AbstractDGs are placed for the purpose of real power loss minimization and voltage improvement in distribution network system. This paper presents a recent optimization technique, i.e. teaching learning based optimization (TLBO) technique for finding the optimal size and location of Distributed generation (DG) in radial distribution system (RDS). The optimal location and size of DG is analyzed considering voltage stability index as an objective function. The superiority of the proposed approach has been shown by comparing the results with GA and PSO methods in RDS.
