AbstractThis research paper was to examine the local farmers’ participation in managing the chemical contamination reduction from pesticide use and pest control in fruit farming. The population of this research was 46 fruit farming households of Suan Laung Sub - district, Amphawa District, Samut Songkram Province. These households were reported to be pesticide users. Questionnaire and focus group methods were utilized for collecting the data. The findings unveiled a significant level of involvement in the management of chemical contamination reduction from pesticide use and pest control. Fruitful suggestions elicited from the key informants in the focus group method were also made
