In this report, we demonstrate that expression of vector-mediated small hairpin RNA (shRNA) against human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) integrase (IN), one of the three important enzymes in HIV infection by controlling the integration of viral RNA to host DNA, could suppress the protein synthesis of EGFP-tagged IN in HeLa cell model efficiently.
