An Input – Output Approach to know the Dynamics of Total Output of Livestock Sectors: The Case of Indonesia

AbstractThe purpose of this study is to analyze the dynamics of total output of livestock sectors of Indonesia caused by final demand changes. This study employs input – output analysis. The results show that livestock sectors of Indonesia have similar pattern. That is the biggest impact to their total output on future period comes from change of household consumption. The suggestions from this study are (1) to encourage the local breeder of Indonesia to follow the general standards of healthy food when conducting the breeding process, (2) modifying the breeding methods, and (3) cutting the path of supply chain
