AbstractIn this paper, we study the existence of infinitely many homoclinic solutions for a class of subquadratic second-order Hamiltonian systems. By using the variant fountain theorem, we obtain a new criterion for guaranteeing that second-order Hamiltonian systems has infinitely many homoclinic solutions. Recent results from the literature are generalized and significantly improved. An example is also given in this paper to illustrate our main results
