A study of preferred socio-religious activities by Muslim youth

This quantitative study employed a survey research design to investigate preferred socioreligious activities amongst selected Muslim youth. The respondents included 146 Muslim youth at the one of Malaysian universities. The results revealed that there was a gap of relationship between the Muslim youth and the management team of socio-religious activities. Muslim youth indicated that they were not well informed regarding socioreligious activities by the organiser which resulted of poor participation amongst them. Muslim youth ranked celebration-based activities with a socio-cultural element as the most preferred activities, whereas learning-based activities were ranked as the least preferred activities. Suggestions to attract Muslim youth participation in these activities were discussed
