AbstractThere is abundant information on the distinguishing features of TCR-mediated signaling in Th1 and Th2 cells. However, the primary signals that determine the commitment and differentiation of naive T cells toward those T helper subsets, especially prior to the contribution of polarizing cytokines, remain elusive. This minireview discusses the potential contribution of SLAT in favoring differentiation along the Th2 lineage and how this may bring us closer to a framework model for Th1/Th2 differentiation
