AbstractThe power engineering field uses classic operational research methods and the most recent ones are based on artificial intelligence to solve a large number of optimization problems. In this context, this paper presents an optimization technique dedicated to an educational software library. It focuses on solving several optimization applications from the power engineering field. The software library is designed for students involved within the electrical power engineering field, at BSc and MSc levels
