AbstractThis article deals with the use of Petri nets for the analysis of production systems. The aim of the article is present analysis options of production systems at the stage of design using Petri nets. The article deals with the calculation of the reachability of required state of the production system. There exists the firing sequence for every reachable state to transform the system from the initial to the required state. Firing sequence allows the analysis of duration of transformation in production system to the required state, the performance of the production system, as well as production costs
