AbstractThe purpose of the present study was to evaluate the clinical significance of myocardial scintigraphy with nitrogen-13 (N-13) glutamate as a marker of myocardial metabolism. Within 2 weeks after cardiac catheterization, 25 patients with single vessel left anterior descending coronary artery disease underwent thallium-201 imaging (5 min and 3 h after injection) and N-13 glutamate scintigraphy (10 min after injection).
