Threshold Based Human Face Detection

AbstractFace detection is the process of making a computer to determine the location of human faces in digital images. Face detection is considered as the essential first step in face recognition systems with the purpose of localizing and extracting the face region from the background. This paper implements a threshold based method to detect human faces from color images. The accuracy of our algorithm for face detection has been evaluated with images of complex background which varies in intensity and lighting conditions. The input image in the proposed system was tested using MATLAB with large set of input images
