A fuzzy-set approach to treat determinacy and consistency of linguistic terms in multi-criteria decision making

AbstractA fuzzy-set-based approach is presented to describe linguistic information in multi-criteria decision making. After having introduced concepts of determinacy and consistency of linguistic terms, the understandable degree and consistence degree of linguistic terms are illustrated by these two concepts.
