AbstractThis paper provides a practical approach to describe the online coal-ash monitoring procedures in coal Washaries or coal preparation plant (CPP). The characteristics of coal, monitoring equipment's, control electronics & existing method of handling coal were discussed. A Comparison of different CPP is provided. This paper also proposes development and application of on-line coal quality monitoring system for the increasing need for coal in real-time application which improves quality and increase operational efficiency
