AbstractThis study is planned to determine the perceptions of social support of mothers while growing up their children with physical disabilities. This study included 49 children and their mothers. Family Support Scale-FSS was applied to mothers. (Family Support Scale-FSS) which was developed by Kaner. Of the 49 children, 20.4% were in between 1-6 years of age, 32.7% were in between 7-12 years, 46.9% were in between 13-18 years of age. There was significance difference in variance analysis in mothers’ knowledge support (p=0.006), and FSS total score (p=0.038) in between groups of the mothers who have children in preschool (1-6 years), mid childhood (7-12 years) and teenage (13-18years) period.
