SummaryAllergic rhinitis is a predisposing factor for developing clinical asthma. Moreover, allergic rhinitis is often associated with bronchial hyperresponsiveness (BHR). We hypothesise that patients with asthma have more small airway involvement than those with allergic rhinitis and BHR alone.
