AbstractIn this paper we study the stability of the Sand Piles Model where grains can be added from outside on random columns. We prove that the infinite set of all stable configurations have a lattice structure which is a sublattice of the Young lattice. Moreover, we give the formulae for the smallest and greatest times to reach stable configurations
