AbstractThe present study is aimed to find effect of graphite filler on the thermal conductivity of PA66 composites. Thermal conductivity tests were conducted as per ASTM E-1530 using guarded heat flow meter. It was found that graphite reinforcement in PA66 significantly improved the thermal conductivity and thermal diffusivity of the composites. The experimental value of thermal conductivity of the proposed composites is compared with different theoretical models. The results indicate that Graphite reinforcement in PA66 can be a potential composite material for friction components in heat management applications such as gears and bearings
