AbstractBoth RET and EDNRB are essential for neural crest development in many parts of the embryo. In this issue of Neuron, two articles by Barlow et al. and Kruger et al. demonstrate that within the developing enteric nervous system these receptors have synergistic, stage-dependent effects on neural crest precursor proliferation and antagonistic effects on cell migration
