AbstractThe question of the existence of solutions for the system of nonlinear partial differential equations governing the arbitrarily heated and prestressed nonhomogeneous shell is considered. We give the sufficient conditions for the existence of at least one solution by way of a fixed point theorem in an appropriate function space
