AbstractObjectiveThe aim of this study was to investigate the influence of the ability to perform high intensity effort (HIE) on internal training load (CIT) responses in young basketball players.MethodTwelve male basketball players took part of the investigation (18.6 ± 0.5 years, 192 ± 6.5cm e 88.8 ± 14.5kg). The investigation lasted four weeks, with two weeks of a preparatory period (PP) and two weeks of a competitive period (PC). Session ratings of perceived exertion (session-RPE) method was used to quantify internal training load in every training session.
