AbstractIn MIMO system multiple antennas are used at Transmitter and receiver side. MIMO has many advantages in comparison of SISO in terms of capacity, bit-rate and reliability. MIMO is classified mainly in three categories: spatial multiplexing, spatial diversity and beam forming. Spatial multiplexing provide higher data rate and spatial diversity effectively reduce bit-error rate. Space time block encoding scheme provide higher data rate with performance improved in terms of less bit error rate so performance of MIMO is optimized in this case. In this paper space time block coding scheme is analyzed and simulation results are presented for various modulation techniques.
