AbstractThe study departs reflecting on the objective diversity between the relationships of transport in the centre-north Europe and those in the centre-south, hereby calling particular attention to transport relationships between Adriatic coasts and this while examining the difficulties of integration of these last ones into a modern complex network system.After analyzing the historical, technological and motivational conditions and their consequences the paper attempts to project several future scenarios, based on the considerations made, while emphasizing costs and benefits of the possible enterprises
