AbstractThis study was to investigate the quinolone resistance to gram negative bacteria isolated in the First Bethune Hospital during the past 8 years. Disk diffusion test was used to study the antimicrobial resistance. The data were analyzed by WHONET 5 software according to Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute(CLSI). The rates of extended spectrum beta-lactamases(ESBLs) in Escherichia coli and Klebsiella.spp were 43.6%∼60.1% and 51.0%∼65.1% during the past 8 years, respectively. In recent 8 years, the quinolone resistance to gram negative bacteria had increased. In particular, Escherichia coli resistant to quinolones was more obvious.
