AbstractThe small positive values taken by ternary quadratic forms of signature −1 are investigated. For forms of a special type the results of R. T. Worley are greatly strengthened, and the way is prepared for a more universal improvement of his theorem. These results are likely to be useful in the solution of an unresolved problem about quaternary forms
