Los problemas del Sumak Kawsay: comprensión cultural y ejecución política

the sumak kawsay or good living constitutes an axiological, organizational and normative own principle of ancestral Andean cultures, which has given it a strong semantics. In view of its importance, the sumak kawsay currently included in the Constitution of the Republic of Ecuador in 2008–, aims to be irradiated to the entire Ecuadorian society in different forms and conceptualizations such as: law, embodied in public policies and the principle without preventing the risk that implies its universalization. The analysis of this process starts out from the idea of universalization as it is explained by Bourdieu the French sociologist that it can turn a conceptual particularism in universal: any particularism runs the risk that its universalization will exclude the complex realities of historical societies
