AbstractThe information and technology era we live in has brought along an ever-increasing need for translation. In parallel with growing international co-operations of both political and commercial nature, the need for translation increased as well, therefore quality expectations are raised. Such expectations had a considerable effect on the number of Translation Studies and Translation and Interpreting departments. There are various languages offered in translator training in Turkey. German, English and French are prominent languages in that regard. Growing number of translator training departments has also accelerated the scientific research in Turkey.
