Reversed-phase ion-pair Chromatographic separation of ribulose 1,5-bisphosphate from 3-phosphoglycerate and its application as a new enzyme assay for RuBP carboxylase/oxygenase

AbstractA new method for the detection of ribulose 1,5-bisphosphate (RuBP), the substrate of the prominent ribulose-1,5-bisphosphate carboxylase/oxygenase (Rubisco), which catalyzes the carbon dioxide-fixing step in photosynthesis has been worked out.
