Objectives: The deletion polymorphisms of glutathione S-transferase (GST) GSTM1 and GSTT1 genes result in the absence of the corresponding protein, which decreases the detoxification of carcinogens. Studies evaluating polymorphisms and protein expressions in the same patients are limited.
