AbstractThis paper stated with the problem of cost of photovoltaic (PV) system for residential sector in Thailand and competitiveness. It is assumed that the electricity of PV can be competitive with grid-connected in Thailand scenarios. The objective is to express the potential for the PV cost reduction in last ten years and estimate for the near future. The learning curve model presents that PV cost range term of installation in residential building sector in Thailand. Using this model is estimated cumulative capacity and PV price can be competitive term. Electrical consumption of Thailand scenarios can show grid parity point take place in fifteen year.
