AbstractHydrolytic enzymes [acid phosphatase, β-glucuronidase, β-D-N-acetyl glucosaminidase (β-D-NAGA), lysozyme and angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE)] are the major constituents of alveolar macrophages (AM).
