Background: Multidrug Resistant (MDR) Pseudomonas aeruginosa, an emerging superbug causing a wide spectrum of nosocomial infections. Carbapenem resistance among P. aeruginosa isolates is of grave concern and is mainly due to production of Metallobeta- lactamase (MBL) enzymes.
