AbstractThis paper considers an Economic Lot Scheduling Problem (ELSP) with two imperfect Key Modules (KMs), in which extending similar work on the Economic Production Quantity scope. It is assumed that each KM has its own probability to shift from in-control state to out-of-control state. When the production shifts to out-of-control state, it starts to produce defected items. The problem in this paper is defined as finding the cycle times for several items under ELSP with two KMs context in order to minimize the total cost covering holding cost, setup cost and quality-related cost.
