AbstractThe decision between component reuse, recycling, incineration and landfilling of materials constitute an important part of the management strategy of end-of-life aircraft. However, when developing specific strategies in preliminary analysis also the environmental consequences that arise in the end-of-life phase should be considered. The main objective of this paper is to develop a conceptual framework capable of integrating the decision processes of end-of-life into conceptual aircraft design in order to enable analysis of the recommended prioritization for each alternative (reuse, recycling and remanufacturing – 3R)
