Abstract Background: Facial wrinkles are a multifactorial, complex process that negatively affects individuals’ appearance, consequently their quality of life. The treatment for these wrinkles varies with the degree of severity. This prospective study aimed to evaluate the clinical effect of pure dermaroller and dermaroller combined with platelet rich plasma therapy (PRP dermaroller), to treat facial wrinkles, and to quantitatively evaluate histological changes of the skin that occur in the two different cohorts.
