AbstractIn this study, an interval-fuzzy multiobjective programming (IFMOP) model is developed for supporting planning of environmental and economic management activities of chemical industry district in Tianjin, China. In the IFMOP model, both interval-parameter programming (IPP) and fuzzy programming (FP) methods are introduced into a multiobjective programming framework. The modeling approach inherits advantages of IPP and FP, and allows uncertainties and decision-makers’ aspirations to be directly communicated into the optimization process and resulting solutions.
