AbstractObjectivePleural effusions after the Fontan operation contribute significantly to morbidity and prolonged hospitalization. This study investigates the association between selected preoperative, operative, and postoperative variables and persistent pleural effusions after the extracardiac Fontan procedure.MethodsWe conducted a retrospective study of extracardiac Fontan procedures.
