AbstractIn order to explain the phenomenon that carbon monoxide exceeds and occurs in the coal seams during the process of coal mining. Eight typical coal samples of different metamorphic degree in low rank coal seam were collected. And then, the analyses of industry and element experiments were performed. Furthermore, the infrared spectrogram of coals were measured at different temperature (303.15K, 323.15K, 343.15K, 363.15K) by the Fourier infrared spectral instrument to study the existing form of the oxygen-containing functional groups, and through observing the changeable laws of the oxygen-containing functional groups to research the influence of the carbon monoxide occurs in low rank coals.
