Therapeutic physical activities for the rehabilitation of elder people with functional scoliosis

The paper introduces physical activities with therapeutic purposes, which are based on the pedagogical principle to carry out the process of learning in a gradual and ascending way with humanistic focus, because they contribute in a large extent to the satisfaction of needs, pleasures, motives, interests, social cohabitation, they offer a valuable tool for the rehabilitation technician and the Physical Culture professor, and it is demonstrated by means of rehabilitation and treatment the compensation they can provide for elder people with this affection. The physical activities with therapeutic intentions aim at decreasing the high percentage of functional scoliosis in the elder people of the community Sabana of the Maisí municipality. Fact-finding methods were used for this research. In general sense the results obtained according to the clients´ opinions method are satisfactory
