This research advance addresses the subjective dimension of collective action between mobilized and immobilized individuals. Due to the importance of spectators as a potential “reserve army” to swell the protest, these notes focus on an exploratory comparative analysis between a group with mobilization antecedents and another without involvement. The main objective was to extract some hypotheses which could help to problematize in a partial way the link, not often studied in Mexico, between the perception of social protest, its moral dimensioning and its importance to summon a political involvement
