AbstractThe paper is devoted to comparative analysis of the capabilities of the most common models of interfaces which are used for simulation of multiphase materials. Influence of the parameters of these models on the microscopic mechanical properties of the metal-ceramic composites was also investigated. It was shown that the most effective way of explicit modeling of interphase boundaries are models of extended (wide) interface area. For example, models of homogeneous interface zones provide the opportunity to study influence of thermal conditions of composite material production and differenceы between the elastic constants and rheological parameters of different phases on integral properties of the composites.
