Background: Severe asthma is a complex disease with heterogeneous features and involves type 2 airway inflammation, including eosinophil accumulation. Surrogate biomarkers, fraction of exhaled nitric oxide (FeNO) and blood eosinophil count (b-EOS), may predict eosinophilic airway inflammation.
