AbstractThe surface roughness, which is one of the important characteristics of a strip on texture rolling was predicted. The texture rolling is to transfer the roughness on the strip by rolling with a roll that is applied to the textured surface. For the prediction of surface roughness, up to now the roughness prediction method has mainly been studied by experimental approaches. Aims of this paper is establishment of a prediction method for the surface roughness by means of numerical simulation.
