Nowadays, unilateral or bilateral ureteral obstruction is a common condition for domestic cats and it´s not easy to solve. The patient usually, by the time of the diagnosis, presents acutely to severe renal injuries. In this report, glucagon was used as a therapeutic auxiliary in the clinical management of ureteral obstruction in a Siamese mix cat, 3 years old, with chronic kidney disease. The patient was brought to the exclusive cat care service of UFRRJ for 3 months. It was possible to see clinical improvement after 2 months of treatment. In that period the patient was submitted to blood tests and image diagnosis.
