AbstractThis study aims to determine the purposes of preschool teachers in reading for children, the practices they use to give children the habit of reading, the materials they keep in their reading corners, the techniques they use, the themes they prefer in the books they read for children, and the activities they conduct using story books which are important during this period of childhood. The study was based on the survey model, and its data were collected by the Evaluation of Different Approaches in Children's Literature Form designed by the researchers. The results showed that preschool teachers did not use any innovative and creative practices when identifying their purposes for reading for children, giving them the habit of reading...
