AbstractWith the development of mobile communications, problems associated with interference have emerged, particularly in urban environments, and as a consequence, associated to the performance of the networks. The high values of this demand, lead to the telecommunications operators’ need to solve this problem, using the range of frequencies on 900MHz. The main focus of this work is to evaluate the rate of transmission and spectral efficiency for GSM, WCDMA, and LTE on 900MHz band. For the purpose of this analysis, a simulator for EDGE and WCDMA was developed, which allows a performance evaluation analysis.
